Volunteers Needed for the 24th annual Cape Cod Getaway (CCG) MS Bike Ride

Joel Richards is the Director of Development - Cycling Events, for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS), Central New England Chapter, as well as a Ranger with the ski patroller at Wachusett Mountain. The NMSS is organizing their 24th annual Cape Cod Getaway (CCG) MS Bike Ride. It will be held on June 28-29, 2008 and covers 150 miles. 2,000 riders will ride from Marina Bay in Quincy to Provincetown. The NMSS depends on volunteers to cover many jobs during the CCG. Joel, having worked with patrollers at Wachusett over the last couple of years, believes patrollers have the training and experience to be great First Aid first responders and help care for our riders. The NMSS is looking for patroller volunteers to be first responders for the 2008 Cape Cod Getaway. Traditionally the First Aid first responders are stationed at the start, at rest stops along the route and at the finish; any patroller that would like to volunteer would have the additional option of riding the route on bicycle. If you are interested in volunteering for the 2008 Cape Cod Getaway, please call 1-800-493-9255 or visit our website at www.msnewengland.org.
