EMARI weekend at Black Mountain
Jackson, NH March 8 & 9
As many as 20 patrollers and family members RSVP’d for the EMARI weekend but the weather report for torrential rain on Saturday had the effect of thinning out the participation some. Regardless, a dozen patrollers and family members got in some excellent skiing until the rain started at 1:00 PM on Saturday. I can testify that the best method of stopping a runaway sled is not to dive for the tail rope, but to ski ahead of the sled and get control of the handles. We enjoyed an outstanding happy hour and buffet dinner at the lodge on Saturday evening. Sunday it turned very cold and the ungroomed surfaces were all but unskiable, but the groomed terrain was first-rate.
Thank you.
