In Memory of Deborah Stitt

We are happy to announce that once again this year, the Eastern Division Women’s Program will be sponsoring three (3) $300 scholarships for women patrollers to attend a Division-sponsored Patroller School or Women’s Clinic.

In memory of Western Appalachian Patroller Deborah Stitt, the scholarship was established to provide more women the opportunity to attend a Patroller School or Women’s Clinic and support the development of leadership skills within the NSP.

Applications are being accepted through March 15, 2024. Application and additional information can be found on the Women's Program Scholarship page on PatrollerSchool.org.

Regional Director Announcement

On Behalf of the EMARI Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to announce that Simon Thomas will be the next EMARI Region Director starting April 1, 2024.

Our bylaws specifically state that any person interested in the Region Director position submit a letter of interest by August 1st of the election year (odd years for EMARI).  We only had one candidate submit a letter of interest.  Based on guidance for the Division and Robert’s Rule of Parliamentary Order, the current Board voted to appoint Simon Thomas as the next EMARI Region Director.

Simon has served on the board for 17 years as the past Blue Hills Petrol Director and 8 years as Assistant and Alternate Region Director.  He is very active in EMARI programs and leads a number of board initiatives. The Board and the Region will be in good hands.

Congratulations Simon!

Chris Mitchell
NSP EMARI Region Director

To learn more about Simon please read his letter of interest.
